This workshop addresses the RIO-NM priority area of sustainable energy and research partnerships, aligned with New Mexico's Science and Technology Plan. The central focus is: 

• How can meaningful, cross-sector collaboration be fostered in sustainable energy? 

• What accelerates research from lab to field deployment? 

• What is the role of policy in guiding high-impact energy R&D? 

The NMEI Workshop builds on the successful CESAM 2024 workshop and is designed to formalize the New Mexico Energy Initiatives (NMEI) consortium. It will support transformative partnerships between academic institutions, national labs, industry, and government to address state energy challenges.
