A Workshop to Develop a Methodological Framework and Future Research Directions on Post-Wildfire Reforestation in New Mexico

We propose to convene a workshop of experts to develop a methodological framework and outline research needs for assessing the societal benefits and costs of post-wildfire reforestation in New Mexico (NM). The framework will outline the multiple benefits and costs of post-fire reforestation, as well as the uncertainty and complexity involved in assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of post-fire reforestation. The workshop will result in at least one peer-reviewed publication on the benefits and costs of post-fire reforestation and identify future research needs and next steps.
